All Key Biscayne residents have always demonstrated since the time of our incorporation complete agreement with the original concepts that assured our success as a community.
The recent guest commentaries Funding Underground Utilities by former Council member Jorge Mendia MD and Constitutional Principles by former Council member Raul Llorente both praise the Original Concepts.
Dr. Mendia wisely mentions that formulas proposed by a consultant to an advisory committee to the Council to fund underground utilities appear from what he has learned at this point to conflict with original concepts that promote unity in our community.
And Mr. Llorente with characteristic calm lines simply tells it has always been extremely important for our constitutional principles to be respected to preserve the special spirit our community enjoys and appreciates.
I hope all Key Biscayners will pay very close attention to formulas proposed by the consultant to the advisory committee to the Council and that the message:
“No Key Biscayner should pay more than any other to fund the cost of this project” will be clearly communicated to our Council.
