The sights and sounds of Bombay came to the beach last Thursday as the Active Seniors on the Key, better known as the ASK Club, held a Bollywood themed beach party.

As Ed Stone, president and founder of the ASK club told the crowd of nearly 100 attendees, this was the 10th annual edition of ASK's Beach Party.

Featuring the Enhance Fitness dancers and choreography by their instructor, Marilyn Myles, the group danced to three classic Indian musical hits, dressed in traditional saris and other authentic garb.

The Indian menu consisted of chicken curry, rice and naan; all traditional foods.

It another strong demonstration of what the ASK group means to the island's senior residents.

'"I just love the fitness classes and the warm welcome of the group," said Donna Schuster, a snowbird from Virginia.

Resident Adelena Quevedo, who has been in the class for several years, said that for her it's hard to beat the camaraderie of the group. “It’s a big part of why we love Key Biscayne so much."

JoAnn Pisacane, who contributed so much time and effort to the costumes and props for the performance, said that Marilyn's classes have been instrumental to her exercise routine and keeping her fit.
