Team Key Aquatics is hosting its Swim Fit Championships and Water Polo All-Star game, and the surf-inspired event promises to find the fittest young aquatic athletes.
The public is welcome to come out to the Key Biscayne Community Center to watch the kids in action.
Events started Tuesday and continue today with the second Swim Fit Championships event. Arrival is at 4:30 p.m. for competitors, and warmups start at 5 p.m. Grades 5 and 6 compete first, followed by grades kindergarten-2 and grades 3-4.
Thursday is the all-star game at 7 p.m., with players arriving at 6 and start warming up at 6:15.
Friday is the Awards Ceremony and Pot Luck BBQ at the Key Biscayne Beach Club at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony will start at 7, with trophies for the top three athletes in grades kindergarten-2, 3-4 and 5-6. Also, MVP awards will be given out to water polo and Swim Fit athletes for their efforts throughout the week and season.
Dinner and drinks follow the awards ceremony.
