Since its inception in 2015 when a few friends from Key Biscayne sought to exemplify the teachings of Jesus Christ and make a difference in their community to address the needs of our homeless brothers and sisters, The Hermanos de la Calle not for profit 501 c3 foundation’s work continues to evolve.

To date the organization has provided over 27,000 hot meals, found rehabilitation treatments for more than 85 people, reunited 40 with their families, fixed dentures to more than 10, arranged immigration papers for many, found full time jobs for eight and currently house 29 under their roofs spread out in three houses and three apartments that the organization rents.

These houses are meant to be a safe space where step by step each member finds the drive to lift up their heads and proudly become functioning members of society through the power of a positive community and love. Houses are centers for weekly AA and NA meetings, engaging arts programs, small planting plots, etc.

The homeless have many needs and unfortunately many are still unattended. This creates the need for the Foundation to continue their aggressive growth action plan. Last year there was one house. Today there are three houses and three apartments. Why not help double the amount?

Please join Fundacion Hermanos de la Calle on June 1st starting at 6:30pm at the Key Biscayne Beach Club for a fundraising party and silent auction. It is an event for the entire family and all proceeds will benefit the foundation’s important work.
