Island Chic can be found at one of Key Biscayne’s newest businesses, Neo Nail Bar.
Proprietor Allen Morali shares the unique concept and how it all got started.
IN: Why Neo Nail Bar?
AM: Neo means new and when we set out to open our first salon on Brickell seven years ago, we wanted to create a different kind of salon in an industry that is crowded with “me too” concepts.
IN: Different how?
AM: A woman has two options for nails, go to the local neighborhood place, where you never know which technician you are going to get, and the quality varies or go to the luxury spa that is time-consuming and expensive. We set out to create a new option.
IN: How does your nail salon model work?
AM: We focus on the ambiance and service. Consistent quality at a fair price. Top of the line products, even importing our lotions and creams from the Dead Sea in Israel. We employ only experienced and licensed technicians and maintain a safe and sterile environment. Even our hot towels are sterilized before use.
IN: How would you introduce Neo Nail Bar to a stranger?
AM: As a locally focused shop, relying on repeat clientele so our clients leave happy with the way their nails look and the treatment they receive.
IN: Why Key Biscayne?
AM: We’ve had many Key customers as regulars at our Brickell location. We think it’s a great market with wonderful people. The positive reaction we’ve received has been beyond expectations.
IN: What do you do that limisamakes customers return?
AM: The experience. Besides quality, we’ve invested heavily in the shop, from the massage chairs you sit in for pedicures to amenities and coffee, tea, wine, and champagne at no additional costs. We even have a signature drink, the Limosa.
IN: Survive Ultra weekend is coming up – is Neo Nail Bar offering anything special?
AM: Yes. We want to reward residents with a complimentary gift to the first 100 customers. Stop by, say hello, tour the shop, and become our friend.
